James A. (Jim) Burgin
President

Jim is the Agency Principal and manages the agency on a day-to-day basis. He has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Jim holds a resident North Carolina broker’s license as well as licenses for Property & Casualty and Life & Health. He also holds a non-resident South Carolina broker’s license.

 

Clint A. Knox
Independent Agent

Clint has been with C&D since September of 2004. Prior to joining C&D, Clint worked as an agent for North Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance Group. He holds a resident NC broker’s license as well as licenses for Property & Casualty and Life & Health. Clint works as an independent producer for C&D and writes insurance for Commercial lines, Personal lines and Life & Health lines.

Nell R. (Brenda) Hayes
Office Manager

Brenda holds a resident NC Property & Casualty license. Brenda has been with C&D since March of 1973. She is the CSR for C&D’s volunteer fire department book of business. In Jim’s absence she is the acting supervisor of the managers of the Commercial Lines and Personal Lines departments. Brenda is also a Notary Public and serves as the agency compliance officer.

Kevin K. Reavis, CIC, CPIW
Commercial Lines Manager

Kevin holds a license for Property & Casualty as well as a resident North Carolina broker’s license. . Kevin joined C&D in March of 2011 and has a total of thirty five years experience in the insurance industry. She manages the Commercial Lines book of business and also reviews and places business for clients of in-house producers. Kevin earned a diploma in General Insurance from the Insurance Institute of America and her Certified Professional Insurance Woman (CPIW) designation in 1982. She graduated from the National Alliance School in 1994 earning her CIC designation and membership into the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.

Thomas J. (Tom) Wilson
Personal Lines Manager

Tom holds a resident NC license for Property & Casualty.  Tom has been with C&D since March of 2006. He manages the Personal Lines book of business. He also reviews and places business for clients of in-house producers as well as for external producers including agents in the Insurance Network Group. Tom is also a Notary Public.

Emily M. Barefoot, CPSR
Marketing Agent

Emily holds a resident NC license for Property & Casualty. She joined C&D in February 2012 and has a total of 24 years experience in the insurance industry. She reviews, services and places business for clients of in-house producers and is a marketing strategist for C&D. Prior to joining C&D, Emily worked for another local agency as Personal Lines Manager. She is also a licensed NC Real Estate Broker and a Notary Public. Emily resides in Dunn with her husband, Doug, and their boxer, Gatti. She attends Hood Memorial Christian Church where she is a Deacon and sings in the choir. She also participates in the Dunn Community Chorus.

Kammy B. Ricker
Personal Lines Agent

Kammy holds a resident NC Broker’s license as well as a license for Property & Casualty. She has been with C&D since August of 2008 and has a total of 15 years experience in the insurance industry. She reviews, places and services business for clients of C&D, in-house producers and external producers including agents in the Insurance Network Group. Prior to joining C&D, Kammy worked for several other local agencies as a Personal lines agent.

C. Milagros (Millie) Zuniga
Personal Lines Agent

Millie holds a resident NC license for Property & Casualty. She has been with C&D since August of 2006 and has more than 13 years experience in the insurance industry. As the primary bi-lingual agent with C&D, she reviews, places and services business for personal lines clients mostly of Hispanic origin and  often serves as a translator for C&D’s Commercial Lines agents. Millie is also a Notary Public.

Marsha M. Bouché
Receptionist

Marsha has been with C&D since May of 2010. She provides front office and back office support for all areas of C&D’s operations.

J. Timothy (Tim) Hall
Controller

Tim has been with C&D since December of 2006. He is responsible for all aspects of the Accounting and Finance areas of C&D and provides some marketing and computer support to the agency as well. Prior to joining C&D, Tim worked in accounting and financial positions for a number of private firms in the northern Virginia area, including two years with a regional insurance agency. He passed the national CPA exam in 1999.
